As Belfast City Council gyms go, you can’t get much better than Andersontown Leisure Centre. 

Judging by everything that’s going to be at your disposal when you become a member there, you might really regret not checking this gym out. 

Andersontown Leisure Centre is yet another one of the gyms with a pools in Belfast, and is also home to an aqua park, perfect for the kids, and a surf simulator, which is ideal for those who don’t fancy going out and catching waves in the cold. 

The onsite gym is home to over 140 state of the art Technogym cardio and resistance machines, plus a functional training area and dedicated free weights zone. 

There’s also three studio spaces, one of which is a dedicated cycle studio. 

And it doesn’t stop there, Andersontown also offers a range of daily classes, including spin, yoga, and HIIT. 

And finally, for those who prefer working out playing football, there’s two outdoor pitches available that can be hired out for 5-a-side football matches. 

Andersontown Leisure Centre seems to have something for everyone, and is a perfect place to go for those seeking more than just a simple gym or fitness studio.

If you’re someone who doesn’t want to commit to a membership contract and have to pay monthly, Flex Gym NI is one of many pay as you go gyms in Belfast, and will be right up your street, with a visit to the gym costing just £4 each time. 

Flex Gym claims that is one of the best modern gyms in Belfast, and has a wide selection of equipment that is designed to cover cardio, weight training, and strength training, including:

Essentially what it says on the tin, Reebok Crossfit is the best out of all of the crossfit gyms in Belfast, offering, you guessed it, crossfit classes. 

The Reebok gym is proud to announce that it has the largest dedicated crossfit facility in Belfast, so it was an easy pick to place on our list.

But, don’t be fooled into thinking that this Reebok gym only offers crossfit training. 

With their fully comprehensive coaching team from a range of fitness backgrounds, they also offer classes in specific domains such as Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics and even Strongman training. 

The Strongman classes are part of an 8 week course that is run frequently alongside the other classes. 

Alongside the daily classes, the gym is open to anyone who wants to have a normal workout, seven days a week. 

The gym is a 2,600 square foot open area that includes 5 weightlifting platforms, plus a wide array of strength and conditioning equipment. 

The class area, on the other hand, is slightly larger, at 3,600 square foot, meaning there’s plenty of room for you to workout in. 

As for membership prices, for £85 a month you get access to unlimited classes, and with the amount of classes available to you, that’s a pretty good deal.
