#13 – Ulysses Fitness and Nutrition

cheap gyms in middlesbrough

Ulysses Fitness and Nutrition is a very highly rated gym in Middlesbrough. They started out as a CrossFit gym and have recently become independent and now operate their own programmes.

Unlike your typical open gym, Middlesbrough gym club offers a selection of classes with their memberships that are the forefront of what they have to offer. These classes are either Bootcamp, where members of any skill level can train simple movements that are ideal for weight loss, or group PT sessions, which are not for the fainthearted and combine a mixture of strength and cardio fitness exercises.

Memberships at Ulysses do come at a hefty price compared to other gyms in the area. However, with their way of operating (having memberships come with a set number of classes allowed), the cost for each class on the cheapest £60 membership comes in at £7.50, which isn’t much more than standard gyms charge for their classes that may not be of the same standard that Ulysses offer.

You can purchase access to their Bootcamp group classes without a membership for a £10 upfront cost so you can see if the leading lifestyle gym in Middlesbrough is a good match for your needs prior to committing to a membership.

If you're interested in gaining a headstart prior to beginning your new CrossFit journey, we have an entire guide dedicated to helping you understand how to get better at CrossFit.

As well as this, they also run occasional ‘bring a buddy’ sessions where you can bring a friend with you for free.
