Sports Massage Courses & Qualifications

Both our Level 3 and 4 Sports Massage Courses are regulated by Ofqual and awarded by Focus Awards.

This means that all of OriGym’s courses are held to the same high standards as other Sports massage qualifications in the UK, while also being internationally recognised!

You do not need any prior experience or qualifications to sign up for OriGym’s Level 3 Sports Massage Certification.

Students who wish to enrol on our Level 4 Sports Massage Qualification will however need to complete this initial Level 3 training as a prerequisite. 

In addition to this, you must be aged 16 or older to study with OriGym!

This is all made possible by our dedicated post-course support team, who are on hand to help current and former students find and secure their dream job. This includes services such as a guaranteed job interview, CV analysis and distribution, business consultations, and interview prep!

The most obvious difference between the two Sports Massage Training Courses is that Level 3 is an entry-level qualification, while the Level 4 is for qualified individuals looking to advance their practice.

When enrolled on the Level 3 course you will learn entry-level skills from modules specifically designed for those with no-prior experience within the industry. 

The Level 4 course on the other hand expands your knowledge in areas such as clinical procedures and treatment planning. In addition to this, students will also develop further practical skills, such as learning how to implement advanced massage techniques. 

On average, it takes students 8 weeks to complete the Level 3 and Level 4 Sports Massage courses respectively (16 weeks in total).

The duration of these courses are not set in stone, as both are taught via blended learning. This requires students to attend in-person workshops, while also studying independently via OriGym’s online learning platform.

The rate at which you graduate will be determined by how quickly you complete both practical and theoretical assessments. 

This can be done at your own pace, as there are no deadlines associated with either sports massage qualifications! 

Upon the completion of the Level 3 course in sports massage therapy you will be regarded as a highly employable individual, eligible to work in locations such as clinics, gyms, spas, and sporting clubs to name a few! 

Alternatively, you could pursue self-employment, for example working on a mobile basis travelling to your clients, as and when they require your services.

After completing your Level 4 sports massage certificate you will be qualified to pursue more senior roles and treat clients in their recovery from injury. The benefits of pursuing these opportunities include an increased salary and greater professional development.
